I love my boat. And after a tune, my mileage doubled from 6 mpg to 12! It's also my only mode of transportation while my suburban is in the shop.

Is it really getting six or are you exaggerating?
I would think that the 318 would be more economical than that. Sounds like it needs a tune-up if you are. I can pull of 18 in my Olds.

It has a 383 tho, amiright @cletus44?

It's a 383. It was poorly tuned when I got it and all my driving is in Toronto traffic. First fill-up was a no-joke 6 mpg trip.

I'm not sure, but six seems a little low unless you've got your foot in it or are stuck in traffic.

It's actually my middle finger to Toronto smog laws. My 1989 Suzuki Swift was deemed too polluting to be registered here due to having cams and injectors so I bought these two vehicles because they're older than 1987 and smog laws don't apply.

Yeah, apparently Northern Va is trying to do some seriously srewy stuff retroactively as well. I guess they passed a smog requirement a few years back that cut the allowable emissions in half, and applied it to existing vehicles as well as new vehicles going forward. Quite strange.

I don't think I can get that low of an MPG number in the jetta if I drove it at 90mph in 3rd gear for an hour!
I burned half a tank in about 15o miles though, and that's 8.25 gallons so the worst MPG's I could get out of it was around 15-16MPG

I love it! I had to finally buy a cheap beater because driving my '67 Mustang around everywhere was getting costly as hell. I maybe get about 10-12 mpg.
